August 2009 anticipated start date. Responsibilities include:
teach all levels of modern technique and choreography, choreograph
mainstage productions, assist in administrative duties and committee
work. Minimum qualifications: master’s degree required,
MFA preferred; professional experience in the field of Modern
dance; teaching experience. Desired: knowledge of and ability
to teach partnering, rhythmic analysis, somatics (Gyrotonic),
contact improv and philosophy and criticism for dance.
Nestled in the exciting northeast Ohio corridor, The University

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin-Wallace College
invites applicants for a 3-Year renewable position in dance
starting fall semester, 2009. MFA or professional equivalency
in Dance required, with demonstrated teaching expertise and
proven professional experience.
Responsibilities include: teach beginning through advanced technique
courses in 3 of the following areas: Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Modern;
background in Musical Theatre Styles; continue to build and
strengthen dance minor; choreograph departmental productions
as needed; coordinate annual dance concert; advise students;
assist colleagues in overseeing departmental functions/organizations
and fulfilling college-wide committees.

Recreation
Coordinator
The Ability Center of Greater Toledo has an opening for a Recreation
Coordinator for the Youth Program. The organization is nationally
recognized for its advocacy efforts, and provides programs that
represent best practices in Independent Living. Located in Northwest
Ohio, Toledo is a community of 300,000 people that provides
a mid-western lifestyle with culture. Toledo takes pride in
its nationally ranked zoo, wonderful art venues, and the world
famous “Toledo Mud Hens” baseball team. Located
on the shores of Lake Erie, Toledo is an hour drive to Detroit
and Windsor, Canada.
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination
of independent or group recreational activities that promote
community inclusion and increase opportunities for independent
living through such activities. They will plan, organize, and
conduct a variety of adapted recreation activities including
but not limited to; sports programs, art programs, team challenge
training and fitness activities. The Recreation Coordinator
will plan and provide orientation and ongoing training sessions
for community partners, mentors and volunteers.
We prefer candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation,
Therapeutic Recreation or related human service field. Applicants
must have experience with setting up programs and facilitating
activities for people with disabilities. Successful candidates
must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We are seeking applicants who have the ability to organize tasks
and manage time effectively. Excellent interpersonal and strong
motivational skills are required. Prefer candidates have an
understanding of and commitment to the Independent Living Philosophy.
This position may require travel to consumer and community locations,

Fairmount Center for the Arts is looking for a dance instructor
to teach classes for the Fairmount Dance Theatre. FDT offers
a progressive curriculum of ballet, jazz, modern, and tap techniques
for youth ages 4-18.
Description: The qualified candidate will be responsible for
teaching technique classes, choreography, and assisting in producing
concerts.
Position Requirements: Applicants must be working towards or
have received a degree in the area of dance. Teaching, performance,
and production experience is preferred. Applicants must be available
late afternoons into evenings and available for rehearsals on
Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
